Equilibrium moves between two worlds: an ordered surface of duty and appearances, and an underworld of the psyche where desire takes physical form. At its center are three sisters, Jessi (Jessi Rae), Serenity (Serenity Cox), and Jewel (Jewel Diamant), and the philosopher Jason (Jason Luv), who takes what he wants and never gives his best.
When Jason seduces his student Jewel, the youngest, her father forces him to marry the eldest, Jessi. He spends five years betraying her while she sits immaculate in a house quietly catching fire. But the women he underestimates are waking up. Jewel, exiled to a convent, learns from two knowing nuns (Kenna James, Little Puck) the difference between obedience and truth. Serenity, the sister no man can possess, presides over the underworld like a gold-dusted goddess, offering fruit and demanding the one thing few give: their best. And Jessi learns some truths only surface once everything you’ve tolerated catches fire.
Drawing on ancient myth and the oldest feminine archetypes, Equilibrium asks what it costs to find balance, and the moment a woman stops waiting to be saved. There is no creation without destruction, and no balance until you have known its absence.
